How do you spend most of your time and energy?
Throughout the course of a day, you can be subconsciously exposed to all kinds of energy including negativity, discursive discussion and chaos, all without even realizing it. Whether it’s news articles on Facebook, the social media debates between friends, or the comments at your workplace, you may be constantly engaging in experiences that throw you off balance. We at times don’t even realize how impressionable we are to outer influences until we feel completely depleted.
With meditation, you can learn to retreat internally. The simple practice of observing your breath becomes rejuvenating. Through constant practice, you can learn to be more centered and grounded no matter what’s happening. It’s always up to you where you want to put your focus and energy each day. When you decide through intention, how you want to focus your attention, it automatically begins to calm your nervous system.
With the conscious practice of intention, you can readily focus your own energy and notice how it positively effects your inner and outer life.
