How to Inspire Daily Meditation Practice

If you want to have a consistent practice, it’s important to create a meditation practice that inspires you to meditate every day.

Each person is unique. To give one practice to everyone and expect it to work for them long-term seems impractical. The majority of folks cannot sit in cross-legged position on the floor. Many people have physical challenges that don’t allow them to sit still for long periods of time. It’s time to get more creative with the way we approach meditation in our modern life.

What can we do to ease up on our meditation and make it more doable?

I’m a big fan of starting easy. When I feel challenged by my practice, I’ll start by lying on my back and taking a few stretches. Instead of forcing myself to meditate out of obligation, I ease into it gently. After years of studying various practices, I realize that the practice that works best is the one that works for you, the one that gets you to meditate.
