“Be Present” & “Be Here Now” are common phrases of the new age but how does one actually learn to become present? How are healing and presence connected?
There are many ways to develop presence. It helps to understand what is happening when you are not present.
You’ll notice the quality of energy is dissonant, scattered, jagged. This represents the amount of energy that is collected in someone’s field that has not been discharged. It is energy that is stuck in a “certain pattern” based on the past or future. It is often dense and heavy, full of “other people’s energy.” Mental formations from stress and anxiety create patterns throughout someone’s energy field. These patterns are difficult to break without continuous and consistent practice. Have you ever felt like this?
The more someone practices meditation, healing and other centering activities, the energy will naturally start to shift. It begins to exhibit a quality of flow.
You’ll notice the energy is smooth, even and has a symmetrical quality. As the energy within you and around you begins to even out, it is easier to relax and be present. After healing, exercise or yoga, you discharge alot of pent-up energy, and it helps with your internal energy flow. The quality of your energy shifts to a lighter vibration and it becomes easier just “to be.” Notice too, exercise sounds alot like exorcise.
When you relax, it is easier to be still. In stillness, the body begins to draw from a deep source that feels like an deep, eternal spring that is filling up within you. Stillness is the ultimate healer. You feel completely resourced and calm in the moment. You naturally move into healing and towards wholeness.
It takes a strong, yet effortless quality of energy to be present.
It also helps to notice when and where you lose presence. Pay attention to the times when your energy starts to feel chaotic or spacey. A lack of presence is often the result of a disassociative or traumatic experience. Often it is the loss of personal power. It can show you where you need to heal and come back into balance with certain people or situations. The hotspots for many people revolve around money, sex and food.
Presence & Healing go hand-in-hand. Healing is the process of becoming whole. It is a practice of consciously gathering your energy into present time. Here you will notice that conscious intent and thoughts have a strong effect on the structure of water molecules, as evidenced below by Dr. Emoto. The shape of water molecules within your body are a direct result of your quality of presence, and emit out into the rest of your energy field.
There are numerous practices for being more present, but by combining healing with meditation and yoga, you can receive even more benefit for your state of being and mind.
